Job Description

The group is actively seeking to recruit the following personnel for their Navi Mumbai office, India:

Senior process/thermal  engineer with extensive experience in basic and detailed design of water tube boilers, fire tube boilers (PPSD) and shell and tube heat exchangers (HTRI). Applicants without this experience need not apply.

We are seeking a  Senior Thermal or Chemical Engineer with exceptional aptitude for thermal design and analysis to play a key role in conceptualizing, developing and verifying new concept designs. The successful candidate must excel in a high-energy environment and be capable of making sound decisions when faced with time pressures, ambiguous and incomplete information.

Primary responsibilities include but not be limited to:

  • Saturated and Superheated water tube Boiler design
  • Multi pressure HRSG design
  • Waste Heat Recovery Unit design
  • Saturated fire tube boiler design
  • Heat exchanger design and specification
  • Development of process flow diagrams and P&IDs
  • Assisting the drafting group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems. It is your responsibility to furnish sufficient sketches and details necessary for completion of mechanical design
  • Producing designs with efficient use of construction materials with an overall emphasis on ease of construction and completed product meeting the expectations of the client
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop new and current designs

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Bachelor degree in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in thermal design and rating
  • Extensive experience with boiler, HRSG and WHRU thermal design (PPSD)
  • Extensive experience with thermal design of shell and tube heat exchangers and air coolers (HTRI)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with boilers, fired heaters, flares, WHRU
  • Specialist and detailed knowledge of the major heat exchanger equipment types
  • Knowledgeable in fluid flow and heat transfer principles
  • Knowledge of application and specification of materials
  • Design of complex process and utility systems
  • Knowledge of burner technology and flue gas cleaning/pollution reduction technologies and their impact on boiler performance
