Exhaust Gas Scrubbing Technology

The Harris Pye Group is particularly active in the vital area of low sulphur diesel oil (LSDO) conversions as required by Marpol (International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Annex VI, which sets limits on NOx and SOx emissions from ship exhausts.

We have undertaken work on some 130 ships on behalf of almost 40 clients such as Teekay Shipping, Shell, Campbell Shipping, and many others. The conversion is offered as a turnkey package. The Group takes care of the Class submissions; carries out a complete survey; undertakes the full design with the assistance of the client and of Class; fabricates and finally fully installs, whether en voyage at sea, or in dry dock.

Opting for exhaust gas scrubbing technology instead of switching fuel means lower operating costs through access to less costly fuel, avoiding fuel switching, storage and availability issues, and reducing your operational impact on the environment.
