Harris Pye Engineering has recently invested in a combustion and burner division to support their existing services. After over three decades in the marine boiler industry, this addition was a natural progression and expansion. The new Harris Pye combustion division has a broad spectrum of Burner options ranging from 5 MW (th) to 100MW (th) using ambient to 400 degrees Celsius temperature air. Our burner designs are manufactured to produce a short compact flame shape suitable for the even the smallest marine boiler, through to land based utility boilers and large power generation boilers.
Harris Pye offers the complete package from boiler performance studies, site survey, design, project management, installation, commissioning to hand over and servicing – all phases of the project is handled directly by Harris Pye employees – the only companies able to provide this service in the market. Gerry Lane added; “the division builds on the success of Harris Pye conversions of FPSOs in recent years. Combined with Harris Pye’s boiler knowledge, we will offer turnkey combustion systems to our worldwide expansive customer base.”
This Group includes an experienced team of control and instrumentation engineers who have specialised in burner management and combustion control systems. The heads of the department have had decades of experience, have published papers and are notably established within the industry. Harris Pye’s combustion division has extensive global experience in designing and supplying onshore, offshore fuel handling and safety systems to meet NFA , EN marine and offshore safety standards. The Group are also able to produce high efficiency low NOx burners, as well as designing, building and installing auxillary low NOx systems.
The division is committed to research and the further development of products and engineering services required meeting future emission standards and the most efficient combustion for all fuels.
